My lights dont have the "pop" they use to have?

Maybe it's just me....but i have been a little disappointed by the lights on my tank as of lately...the tank lost the "pop" it used to have. I am running 9 month old 250W SE 14K Hamiltons w/ 220w of brand new VHOS. It's quite clear that the VHOs are not the problem.

I cleaned the MH bulbs today and i noticed that the inside cylinder of the MH bulbs has darkened on one side...is that normal?

Is it time for new bulbs?

Yeah, halides usually only last for 8 to 12 months time depending on how long they are on for. I would replace them.
