My lion is mis-judging his food

I tried feeding him today and he is stiking about a inch before he gets to the food.His eyes are clear like they always been.This is a first for him!!!Any ideas or help would be very helpful.Oh i know he is hungry because he goes after the food he just misses!!

Yeah my pinktail was doing that too like it needed glasses, clear eyes too and proper ph. Not sure, but he/she is getting their vision back and doing better now at getting the food. Hope it is only a transient problem.
