My new 12g JBJ NanoCube build

As someone looking to eventually set up a 12G nano, I'm enjoying this thread & am learning plenty here - thanks for your posts... and looking forward to more!

Its been a while since my last update. Bad news... I had a flatworm outbreak. First time in all these years I have ever gotten them. It really bummed me out. I tried using the Blue Life flatworm control and it did absolutly nothing. I had about 100+ flatworms in the tank. I used a siphon and got as much out as I could then used the Salifert Flatworm Exit. I did two 25 percent water changes over the next two days. I haven't seen a flatworm since. I also added a fourth fish which I did not want to do, but I heard sixline wrasse were good at eating flatworms. All in all the tank held up through the exit and I did not lose anything to the flatworms. Here is an updated picture showing some good growth. I am glad I toughed it out and it was frustrating, but now my tank looks good again and I am enjoying it.

sorry to hear that, hopefully you fought trough already..

Wow the xenia is starting to get really big ^^ I think the tank my look even better with a few other corals instead of the xenia

Wow I really like your tank everything is growing so good for you. I love the size of the leather. How big is it exactly? It may just be the picture making it look so big. I love the color of the brain as well!

The leather is pretty big. If I was guessing I would say 5 inches or more wide. I would love to remove the Xenia from my tank as that is one of the biggest mistakes I have made. It grows way to fast and takes over. The rock is buried though and I am afraid to pull it out and disturb the sand deep. Any suggestions on how to remove it?

In a earlier post I thought you had said you returned to LFS for credit? I would just cut them at the base attached them to some small rock and off to LFS for more credit... Tank looks great... Are you just running PC lighting?

Yea currently I am still running original PC lighting. I am seeing growth on the montipora also which is encouraging. Yea I had a plug in the tank which I took to the LFS that was not on a rock.

Anyone have any suggestions on a next coral that would fit well in the tank. I love Zoa's but have two young children and I hear they are extremely toxic so I have avoided them.

Here is a small update photo. Xenia is growing out of control. Gonna have to do something soon about it.

I love your thank! Did you do any mods? Right now all of my back chambers are empty except for a little floss. I am thinking about getting a media rack to run the floss, purigen, and chemipure elite. Would you recommend filling a chamber with rubble? How often do you do water changes and how much? I am feeding heavily my bare bottom system to try and encourage my clowns to breed. Thanks for your time!
