WHERE did you get this fish?! How big is he? I've always wanted an interruptus...maybe when RCT starts producing again...

Great to see the fish is doing well for you Chris! Looks like maybe you need to pair him up??? Keep me updated on the progress.

It is indeed the one I posted a few weeks ago. It wasn't the smoothest airport to airport shipment, but luckily Southwest found the package and the fish arrived safe and sound 12hours later than expected.

Thanks everyone!

Chris, actually I believe it's female, the lighting in these pics makes her look a lot more blue than she really is. The face is quite orange, with smaller bluer spots than on the males, under fluorescents they glow bright blue. This pic shows the orange:

She's around 4" and loves mysis. Always hangs around the front of the tank when I come by waiting for food!

Chelsey, wasn't your last avatar an interruptus? You're on the right track with RCT, juveniles adapt much better than the larger sizes. I didn't want to wait probably 4+ years for one though :). As long as you can find one that is eating, and can keep your temps under 75, I think wild caught is fine. This interruptus was already eating pellets when I got her, which was a very good sign.

Matt, glad you found my post! The heat in Arizona worried me, but luckily the box was packaged well enough to withstand the extra 12 hours :) You're right, pairing up is next on my list, I'll make sure to keep everyone updated!

Stunning. Matt provides fantastic fish. One of the best. Wish he sold fish more often, becuase he seems to have some good connections.

So any updates? More pics? What temp is the display and what else are keeping with him, well her? Most importantly good luck with that beauty. Drooling...... T

Yep, my last avatar was an interruptus. I think I'm going to wait the 4+ years. I don't mind dropping a decent hunk of change on a fish (like the snowflake ocellaris in my avatar), but if I'm going to drop >$500 on a fish the thing had better be bulletproof! I'd rather wait and be sure to get an excellent specimen than be impatient and have the fish die.

Keep us updated, I'm excited to watch your progress, especially with the pairing!
