My new Mantis (pics)

Beautiful Peacock! I hope you can keep yours that Green! It if were me, I would make sure he had some PVC to hide in for a DARK burrow, and try to use actinic lights instead of 50/50 or full daylight spectrum. Mine went from gorgeous green to olive in one molt. I adjustd the lighting and made sure his burrow was as dark as possible and he then turned an orangish color, then on his third molt he went to a greenish-olive-orange. I have moved him into a new tank with much more shade and cover from the lights, and black pvc dark burrow. I think he is about to molt pretty soon, I hope you will regain a little bit of his colors.

Awesome mantis Matt, Please keep us up to date with your new mantis stories. I would love to hear what and how much a six inch mantis eats.

Yes matt. For some reason they booted me off that site, but they say they didn't. And they said they would fix it, but all my new accounts have the same problem. And this site seems to have like 5000000 more info and much smarter people.

I just got a Mantis today. I put a few pics in my gallery. He's about 6" long.

How's the Mantis doing? Also when taking pics with a flash take it at a angle and that way you won't get that flash back on the glass.
