My pair of Black onyx clownfish (3 months old) from C-Quest

i got these clowns like about 2 weeks ago from c-quest how long does it take for the black to kick in

depends but coming from c quest its pretty much guaranteed...btw black onyx is kind of redundant.

reading your other posts, being that their onyx is genetic they should not lose their onyx in the bta regardless of other peoples reports.

yea i got them strait from c-quest and the guy told me there were 3 months old but now people are telling me 8 months but i dont know who to believe lol

Jojo,

They're good looking clowns - nothing to worry about! They are just older than 3 months. The pair one guy is talking about, versus what the other guy picked, versus what was shipped ... who knows. It is a nice pair though.

If you like them young, I'll trade you a 1.5 month old pair for those!

I wouldn't call myself a breeder, just a hobbyist who raises a couple clowns.
