My Sump\Fuge Design - which do u think is better? (Pic)

I'm doing a new 30g long sump.
Which of these designs do u like better?

My current sump has Design B....but im thinking that Design A may be better because the water has to travel down through the LR to get to the return pump - one less baffle - less bubbles.
what do u think?

I think that I would use these "A" design for the reason you stated.
