I like those timeline full tank shots a lot, since they tell a story.
I see a lot of corals growing and a number vanishing like the turbinaria, a huge hammer and 8 clams.
Can you tell us how your corals did over these years.

Superb!

It seems that you went through different lighting setups, as your needs progressed.

Could you shed some light (pun intended) on that?

Thanks for sharing the progress shots, your reef has grown in wonderfully over the years. Looks beautiful

Thanks all!

DNA: I started hiding the clam under SPS once my Purple tang started developing a taste for it. Sold all of the Frog Spawn and left some on the floor of the tank so that I can make space for other SPS. turbinaria got fragged and moved to the back as it was taking too much space :)

keithhays: In 2009 I installed the best MH bulb ever made: 400W Reeflux 12K.This combined with 2 Giessman Aquablue Plus and 2 Actinic Plus is responsible for the explosion of growth.

Love the growth in that 2009 period... Just spectacular..
Just shows that mh work so well.

Tank looks amazing, thanks for sharing

I got the best growth from the Reeflux 12k, But I should say my experience with LED was not disappointing either. The key is to tweak the brightness values for blue and white LEDs. Too much white, the corals starts getting burned. Pictures 2012-0712 & 2013-0313 shows the growth with LEDS.
