Mystery Florida LR Hitchhiker!

Hi All,
I'm at a loss to identify this. I don't mind it in the tank, I would just like to know what it is! It looks like algae, or a tube worm?! I believe it's an algae or plant, as the star-like 'fronds' don't retract like tube worms. Have you seen this. The green/white 'tubes' are about 1" high, with a very fine 1/4" frond on top. There are copious amounts of them in the tank. Has anyone seen this? It's not the best picture.

heh. i'm rolling with: baby acetabularias...they will grow the radar dishes in a few days, some can grow 3..total dr seuss....

edit: i googled for a pic that shows a range of stages..pic kinda sux, but i think it shows what i want:

ediz: oh yeah, they should just boom-n-bust for you, so enjoy them for a couple weeks. i've had them on snails before.looked like something off of the jetsons :D

Very cool FnF! However, that's not what I have. It is indeed some sort of algae, not a hydroid either. Thanks for the input!

maybe you will get lucky and get a triple stacker. they look pretty healthy in your initial pic... maybe take some progress pics for us.(us meaning them who haven't seen this totally cool little gem yet)

i had a lone single one just put out a dish a day or two ago. when i saw that i was wondering how yours were doing. I'm glad you posted to clear up my wondering, heh
