Nano cube / AquaPod refugium - worth it?

Those of you that have converted one of the rear chambers to a refugium and grown macro, is it worth it? It seems like it'd be pretty small.

Have you noticed an increase in nutrient export that has made a visual difference in the tank?


Im battling cyano right now. This is the next logical step for me so I'm just doing some research on it. I've increased my flow with a MJ900, added a hydor flo, which has also brought tank temps down, increased my cleanup clews numbers, added carbon & phos ban, and switched to tropic marin from IO. It's too early to tell with these little things I've only done them over the course of the past week.

only problem i have had with this little convertion is scraping the glass in the middle compartment, my macro grows like wild fire thoguh

The "chamber fuge" is not worth the effort to create and maintain IME.
It's a poor imitation of a fuge.
