Need a Heater

I'm looking to buy a cheap 100-150w heater for the Sunday meeting...I don't want to spend much and the petstores all seem to start at $30. If you can help, let me know it would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Ive got titanium 150's and 300's. they were used for not even 2 months untill i saw the elec. bill for all 44 of them. ive got a big bucket full of 'em and ill let the 150's go for $18.00 and the 300's for $24.00 if you want any. call me at the store thur, fri,sat- 9-9 sun- 10-7 mon-closed tue, wen-12-8

Why are titanium that much to run? I am running only a 200w and a 100w and I haven't seen a spike in my bill versus glass junk.

I was wondering that myself..I've finally decided to NEVER buy another glass one again.. I bought a new 25 watt marineland glass heater a little over a year ago. It has a lifetime warranty on it.. I had it heating the water in a trash barrel for a water change and I notice the house lights dimming for a second.. Hmm whats that.. then again and I can smell the familiar burnt smell of electrical stuff burning.. UHOH, its the lights on the tank i think.. i finally figure out its the junk glass heater has broken the glass and dropped 1/2 of it back into the water, ruining water(luckily only that). It's been running submerged for several days, no banging against anything, no fish to cause breakage, no changes from dry and then submerged. No other casues except it's junk! It's in the trash right now and sending it in for replacement does not appeal to me.

BTW, no I dont gave the GFCI installed on that outlet, but will very shortly!

BTraverso: What are you using to heat the water instead of the 44 titanium heaters? Going with the approach aquaculture shops use of heating the air instead?

yeah, natural gas is a lot cheaper then the electric bill. they are via aqua, and ive got to be at the store all weekend so the meetings in general are pretty much out of the question. ill ask Bryan if hes going maybe he will be able to bring them with him(this is Art by the way)

I like VIsi therm stealth heaters. 16.99 for 250 watts at Dr fosters and Smith. They are the unbreakable kind.
