Need a little help with my Ro/di

Hi all,

I bought a used Kent Marine Maximma RO/DI. It came without most of the fittings and plumbing attached. I'm trying to hook it up but not sure I'm putting everything in the right place. The diagram that kent marine has is a bit vague.

Few questions I have are.

Which of the outgoing from the R/o membrane is the waste?

Does it matter which side the good water goes into the DI?

the waste in the membrane is the one in the front when the double fittings are on the left side of the membrane unit...now the water from your tap must go into the canister then from the canisters to the right side fitting of the membrane, now your fitting on the left side of the membrane the one in front which is waste must also have a pressure valve on it so you can control the drips to 4 bad 1 good....

My Kent Maxxima does not have a pressure valve on the waste side. It may have a restrictor in it but that should still be in the unit.

Tap water goes in first canister, from first canister to second canister. From second canister up to membrane (right side). left side back fitting of membrane down to the back of 3rd canister (DI), DI (front fitting) to bucket(good water). The wste wter goes out the front left side fitting.

If you want to buy the proper colors of tubing, yellow is supply and between filters, orange is waste and blue is the good stuff.

thats fine too if its set properly, the reason i bought a new valve was b/c mine was doing 3 to one which is better for not wasting water but the 4 to one drip makes it a whole lot cleaner going through your filters and the water is just that much more cleaner...
