Need a measurment for ASM G4+

Anyone out there with a G4 or G4+ would you mind measuring from the base of the skimmer to the top of the first cylinder (the grey connection where the reduction begins). I want to run this skimmer external, modded, but need the "T" off of the gate valve to clear 16" to dump into my sump.

Please help so I can pick up a bulkhead fitting on the way home if I need it.

Not sure if I would run an ASM skimmer externally, both of mine are in the sump, they are not the most water tight skimmers.
