Hi Roger, I'm setting up a 150 and need a recommendation. I'm really thinking of a Wavebox but want to know if it will work with my set-up. Here is what I have in my 5x2x2 (most likely barebottom) ...

- Sump return is only 500GPH
- Closed Loop is 1,000GPH going thru a OM. 4 holes drilled in the bottom of the back of the tank but really this is to provide bottom flow only to keep detritus suspended. Plan is to have this come on 3x per day for about an hour each time - only during photoperiod.
- Two 6200's.

So the sump return is negligible. The CL really isn't on for much of the day. The 6200's are the primary flow on 24/7 - and will be cranked up as high as possible. Should be ok since the tank is barebottom.

It should be fine. I would expect a 3/4"-1" wave with end overflows or a 1"-1.25" wave with center overflow. It is ideal to run the wavebox on the multicontroller and use it itwh the Stream that is on it's side and then using interval have it switch so only the opposing stream is running. Doing this at 6 hr intervals is a pretty realistic simulation of tide action.
