I have a great opportunity to purchase a 300g glass tank with all equioment for $1200 Question I have is he treated lsat year with a product called "Copper Safe". What issues will I have? I know copper is bad but will this product still be in the tank after a year?

Thanks

copper is good for treating fish but will kill any/all inverts (corals, anemones, snails, crabs, etc...)

copper is to be used in FO systems, even better not at all.

I think running carbon and polypads for a bit might solve your problem, but I'd pose this question in the chemistry section of RC to be absolutely sure.

I have read few threads since posting this one and what I think I am reading is this: If the tank is a glass tank and I empty it wash it with bleach and water, then with vinegar and water, and then rinse it well I will not have an issue with it.

Any agreement or disagreement with this?

Thanks
Jim Mc
