Need help making a sump out of my 10G glass tank

If you want to convert the Mag7 to a Mag5, it's just an impeller swap. To convert to a Mag3, an impeller and a front cover swap.

I actually realized it's not too much flow. It's just that the overflow needed a couple of adjustements. The problem is that the Mag7 is too loud. I don't think changin the impeller would make a difference on the sound.

Did you use live rock in the first section? I was thinking of using a mag5 since you said that there was too much flow.

WHAT DID YOU SAY? I CANT HEAR YOU OVER ALL THAT NOISE!
Yeah, I had a Mag7 and can hear your pain. I ditched it and replaced it with an Eheim 1260. MUCH quieter and a lot more flow too. FWIW, a Mag5 is quieter.

If you want to try the Mag5 conversion, it will cost you $9.
