need instructions for salifert MG

Add 2 ml tank water to test tube

Add 4 drops of Mg-1 swirl for 30 sec

Add one spoon of Mg-2 powder - swirl for 10 sec

Draw Mg-3 reagent into syringe until the lower end of the black part is at the 1 ml mark. (Do not concern yourself with where the liquid level in the syringe ends up.

Start adding the syringe until the color turns from pink/purple to blue/gray. (Usually, once the water looks clear with no color, that is the end point)

Hold the syringe with the tip facing up and read the position of the upper end of the black ring.

Each division corresponds to 0.01 ml.

Since you dont' have the table,

ppm Mg = (1 - final reading of stringe ) x 1500

Example: lets say your syringe ended up at 0.14

1 minus .14 = .86 x 1500 = 1290

I just checked your link.

That is the older version.

The newer version only used 4 drops of Mg-1 :)

nas, to be sure, what is the expiration date on your kit ?
It's 7-2008
Thanks

Thats an old kit. My instructions may not apply.

You may just want to buy a new one. Or at least pick up an Elos mag kit to compare results. They are both pretty close. :)
