Gotta have more than little girl muscles.

You're laughing, but I've had to have my wife help me before (after trying for about 30 mins). :eek1: It took the too of us about 10 mins to finally break one loose. Those canisters can be very difficult to unscrew. I don't tighten them on very hard and have even had one leak a small amount of water. I've even cracked a few of the plastic pieces on the side of them trying to get them loose. Someone from HD told me to put some silicone grease on there next time.

Try slipping a 24" piece of 1" or 1 1/4" PVC over the wrench and use it as a breaker bar. That is how I get mine off.

Just wonderful, another headache to look forward to, I've got all new filters and di resin coming this week. It'll be the first time replacing the filters on this unit. I guess I'll just be ready for the worst.

Great idea! I'll have to try this next time.

Joseph, Your Idea worked very well. Thanks

Aquamaxx needs to make that wrench out of steel and powder coat it in rubber or dip it in plastic to protect the filter cases

Steve is your wrench metal? Mine is plastic. You can also buy that plasti dip stuff from the hardware store. Heck, Wally World probably even has it. I would think that the bedliner stuff might be a little hard or rugged for the filters
