Need some help with wet dry

Ok i have a 75 gallon tank and i dont know what kind of wet dry it is but i have everything hooked up and the overflow sucks more water then what my pump can pump back in plus it makes alot of noise what is the best thing to do. The overflow box starts to empty after a couple of minutes from it pulling so much water so fast. Could i just get a bigger over flow box??? Please help

The problem is your return pump isnt big enough, if you get a bigger overflow box you wil have more problems.
Do you have a single 1" drain with your oveflow now?
If so you need a pump that can handle at least 600 GPH and that would be with the pump at 4 feet of head.

i have a 1" tube from my overflow and my return has a mag 700 gph pump on it should i try a 900 gal pump???

It definately sounds like you need a larger pump. You could also use a second tube to the overflow if you have room. AS for the noise, cut a piece of batting to fit snuggly at the top of the overflow. The small piece of material will really cut down the noise even though most of the noise could be sucking noise from the overflow running out of water.
