Neodymium magnets interfering with the pump?

I bought one of those neat neodymium magnets that you can use to attach frags almost anywhere in your tank. I planned to put one close to my return pump, perhaps 1-2 inches away, due to coral placement requirements. Assuming the magnet does not attach to the pump, is there any chance it will interfere with the pump working? I mean the electromagnetic field it generates?
