Been kind of busy with other things, but here's an update. Got the LED system in a few weeks ago (Steve's) and began installing it tonight in my canopy. A few shots of the progress. The pic is with one of the strips lit up, still have to more to wire together, and finish the box that will hold the drivers and power supply. There's another blue strip, and a white strip in the middle.

Figured I'd update this thread since I'm basically finished, except for some water storage containers in the garage and getting the auto water change and other stuff setup with the apex. Currently, the tank in cycling. Can't wait to get some fish...

Just outta curiosity what route did you go with regarding steve's leds's? How many and whatnot did you buy? I have the same size tank and was thinking of going T-5/led combo.. thanks.

I ended up getting the 64"-84" SPS kit from him. It's 126 LEDs total, with 2/3 of them being blue, and 1/3 white. The last page or so of the Steve's LEDs thread has my experience with them. It definitely wasn't the most trouble free experience I've had, but it's all up and working now.
