Finally, I have got all the pieces in place to start my new 180 Oceanic Diamante Glass Dream Project.........
I wanted something completely different than anything else, so I started with a fresh "out of the box" idea on a steel stand.
Template for steel to be cut.

Cut steel waiting to be welded.

After Final approval from "Sparky" my welding inspector/ankle biter, Will lift the tank on next......
All the plumbing will be through wall, to the recently confiscated ex-bedroom soon to be fish room!

sweet stand, nice DIY. Did u powercoat it urself?
Thanks........No, I sent it over to Powdertech, they do all my motorcycle powdercoating for me...

What are your plans for the tank?
I had Oceanic fab me a 180g w/ 3 sides 3/4" Diamante low iron glass.....it's sweet...will post more pics tommorrow...

WOW! It took three of my strongest friends and myself to load this tank on the stand.

How much does the stand weighs? Great stand but where will you put the sump?

The stand is a little over 100lbs...Rough guess.....
All the plumbing will be through wall to the room behind it...
lots more pics to come.

Here is start of the through wall plumbing....
Need to completely tile the floor in the old bedroom behind the wall before I start moving all my equipment into it.....will start tearing out the carpet later....

Pulled the carpet to get the room ready for the tile....

Have lots more work to do..probably run my electric into room tommorrow...I am running an electrical subpanel in the room dedicated to this room only......

Chelsey your website is cool. I did not see a link to your tank. If you don't have a picture just draw one. You have a talent.

Thanks for all the positive comments everybody...I really appreciate it.....

AIRMAN, I have my pics hosted through Ripway...and it seems that I have been running over my bandwidth alot last few days so it automatically turns off my pics...am going to upgrade my account again, and hopefully it won't keep happening....

I have been working on the equipment room alot and hope to get the bulk of it wrapped up here shortly....I still have so much to do.
1.Run electrical wires from my main breaker panel to a subpanel in my equipment room.
2.Run a water line directly to my RO/DI unit in the equipment room, and a waste water discharge line out through the wall to outside.
3.Hook up my PFO light fixture, I have a 110v gear reduction motor that will raise and lower my light fixture via a rocker switch that will be placed in the living room, and/or my aquacontroller raising it if the tank water temp gets too high........
4. and oh yea....I accidentally spilled the entire can of purple PVC primer all over my newly tiled floor......hmmmm.....it cleaned up okay but now I happen to have purple grout....

so, back to work I go and hope to post more pics when I can get this Ripway problem solved.....

NEXDOG, too funny.....and yes it is great to design an equipment layout without all the constrictions of space confinement!

nice idea with the stand.what's the tank measurements, standard size?
Thanks, I needed a contempory/modern design to flow with my home and wanted something different than an inwall, and I like to view my tank from more than one side....my tank measurements are 60"L x 24"W x 30"H Custom made from Oceanic
The three viewing panels are made from 3/4" Diamante Low Iron Glass
I prefer the deeper tanks, and with 3 400w MH's & 2 140w VHO Super Actinics, I'm not too worried about lighting issues to any areas of the tank.

everything looks great in that equipment room, nice and clean. That stand is amazing.

the only downside i see is that everything is on the floor. that's going to be tough on the knees and lower back

man that looks fabulous.

the only thing I worry about is your back with all that stuff on the floor.

I wish I had three friends let alone three strong ones!

A lot of the stuff is still on the floor, as I have not nearly finished putting up the rest of the shelving and cabinets for some of the equip........
For gravity reasons, I am leaving the Sump & Refugium on the floor, along with the Chiller, Protien Skimmer & Reactors. Hope to post more pics later to give you a better idea of the layout
