Hey guys
I just upgraded from a 10gal tank to a 29gal tank. Much much better. Anyway my buddy gave me his protein skimmer from his sump that he wasn't using. The only problem I am having is that it puts lots of bubbles into my tank.. what can I do so this problem will stop? I don't have a sump.

MY tank almost done.

Tank looks good so far the protien skimmer may be able to be adjusted also sometimes it will take a day or to to break in and the micro bubbles will stop

You might even need to wait a week or two for the protein skimmer to settle down and stop putting micro bubbles in the tank.

Also, any kind of water conditioners or certain types of additives will make a protein skimmer go kind of crazy.

As with most other things in this hobby though... it takes time!

Alright sounds good thanks guys. I will put it back on and see what happens in time. Could I hook it directly up to my rena xp3? By putting it in the return part?
