New 6000 - "whirring" noise

Just a curiosity - when the unit spins up from low to high(ish) speed I can hear a definate "bbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" sound - normal? Will it go away as the unit breaks in?

I understand that the prop is going from a low speed to a high speed just a tad suprised that I could hear it outside the tank (in a way it sounds kinda cool - like hitting a turbo :lol: )

It is louder for the first couple weeks, but you can generally hear them up to a foot away even after that.

That's what I kind of figured, you can hear it across the room (tank is very quiet) at the moment - thought it was the "break in phase".

It is kinda cool though - sounds like it's hitting warp drive :lol:
