New clam ID

I bought this clam as a squamosa but after a debate in the reef forum I guess it is a maxima. It's only about 2 inches or so long. I know it's not the best picture, but what do you think? Thanks

Well I guess I bought a maxima for the price of a squamosa...$15. How much of a color change will there be from now to when he is more mature? Thanks

Probably none. Clams don't color up like corals.
