New Clam What am I

Hello everyone

I bought this clam from a local fish store because under the conditions in the store it probably would have died.

I know it has some dammage on the mantel and I hope it heals up.

I would like to get a proper id of what type it is. I believe its a crocea ?

The clam is about 3 inches in size and is starting to respond nicely to lighting and it's enviroment. I started feeding phyto already.

Also, would it do better on the gravel or on the live rock?

Looks like a crocea mantle pattern but not 100% sure unless you show us the shell.

Looks like an ORA 1st grade maxima. Can you take a pic of side of shell. Adam

Go head and post it now. Im anxious to see what it really is. To me, it is a 50/50 tossup, Im not sure, I think it could be either!

I concede-I have an ORA max w/ near identical mantle marks and shape-shell is definately crocea.
