I picked this up at my LFS a few days ago. I am not sure what it is, but it looks nice. I had only had frags up to this point and they where doing good, so I decided I could add a real (whole colony) to my tank. The picture is taken under 175w Iwasaki 15k's w/o actinic lights.

Ignore the diatoms (please!), they popped up when I went to a full 8 hour lighting day. Hopefully they will take there natural course and disapear in a week or so.

Cool, thanks. I guess I have never seen that color before in a chalice. I can't wait until my URI super actinic bulbs get in, I bet it will look even better then. How well do thes take to fragging?

I was just checking up on some Echinophyllia's, Do these things really go for $150 a colony??? I guess this must be a common coloration or I just got lucky.

I know the "designer" corals usually go for an arm and a leg, but everywhere website I found a chalice for sell they were atleast $140. My LFS also has a pink and orange, I think I am going to pick it up for trading purposes (I liked the blue better).

Reefermadness often has large, beautiful chalices for under $100. I would let your coral adapt and heal before chopping it up for selling.
