new DC4 making noise

I just bought a DC4 and hooked my Blue Wave VII MH Ballast: (2-250W HQI) to it. When I power the halides on, the DC4 makes a loud clicking noise. It seems to work but what what is causing the noise? I my unit defective?

I ordered the DC4 to improve reliability. I am going out of town tomorrow and don't know if I should leave it connected.

The DC4s have relays inside of them so they do make noise (low click) when they turn on/off.

This is a repetitive clicking noise when the lights come on. It does not occur when they go off.

If you move the light to another outlet does it also make this noise?

Well it is no longer making the noise. I had both lights plugged into one outlet and now each has its own. Before, even when one of the lights was turned off and one was turned on, the DC4 would make a bad noise when the ACII sent an on signal.
