New false perc chilling at the corner of tank

So for my first fish in my 100 gallon FOWLR I bought a false perc. I acclimated the fish using the float bag method. After 40 minutes I put the fish in and it's swimming fine but it's just chilling on one side of my tank by my K4. I shutdown the K4's on each side so it won't get tired because it looks like the fish is just swimming against the current. It's just chilling closer to the top but occasionally it would venture a lil farther out and go back by the powerhead. I have a lot of caves and rocks for the perc to hide in. Is this normal during acclimation period? TIA. :) Is it ok for me to turn my K4's back on?

Also is an anemone necessary with a clownfish? I wasn't planning on getting one.

Anemone is not necessary. My first two clowns (ocellaris) went through a tank upgrade and never left the right hand corner of either tanks for any reason other than feeding, and chasing off other tankmates. Went on for a year. Its normal. Turn your flow on one at a time to get used to it. My saddlebacks love riding the current around the tank. Good luck.

my clowns like swimming in the current. i wouldnt worry about that.

as far as sitting in the corner he might just be scared. give it a little time

I have two ocellaris clowns in my 29 gallon biocube and they love the right front corner of my tank. This is where they spend most of their time and there is a lot of flow to that corner. They seem to like the flow.

Sounds like this is normal behavior. I only bought one clown because that is all the had at the store. Is it ok for me to add another one in a couple weeks?
