Here's a pretty nice new checker for Alkalinity, and for $50-60, it seems to be a pretty good deal. http://hannachecker.com/index.php?p...ategory_id=25&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=29
This is just great news, I hope it works, if it does i will be buying one for sure
+1
but the measurement is in ppm with an accuracy range of +/- 5ppm.
Like Rogger says if it works is one thing, but is this accuracy range OK?.
I just got home from work and am too tired to think.Maybe someone else can check this out.
Supposedly 50ppm= 1 meq/l
1 meg/l x 2.8 = dKH
is a +/-5ppm accurate enough for reef purposes.?
Rogger- Im impressed that while taking care of all those girls your still able to do these calculations. LOL.
So if will are trying to keep our tanks between 7-11dKH, what is the +/- accuracy difference when we regard 5% as a +/-?
Actually after looking further at you post: are you saying its 0.005dKh +/- per dkh unit?. If that is the case its not only more accurate than Salifert, but more than anything we have to date!!
LOL, Actually I am at the hospital tonight, I brought my laptop with me.
All i gotta say is that i have the ultra low range phosphate reader and its the best! No more stupid color charts so i would prob buy one also
