well i have been thinking about it for some time and i want to build my own tank why because i was quoted aus$20,000 to have it built and that ain't in my budget
so here goes 9x6x3 huge i know i am planning on building a house so it will have it's own room
the tank will be constructed by marine ply 2 layers for extra strength fibreglassed then coated with 2 part epoxy a stanless steel frame will hold the viewing panel
lighting will be natural with a few furos for night time
4 skylights 4x 10000k fluro's and 4 x atinics
cooling will be geothermal before the house is started i will bury about 250 feet of pvc pipe 6 foot under the structure
circulation will be from 2 reef flow hammerheads 1 for return and skimmer drive the other will be conected to a 8 way ocean motion unit
maybe another just to hit dead spots
one more 5000lph pump for the geothermal cooling on a temp controller
filtration will consist of a crypic zone, cheato tank and a dsb as space maybe an issue in the tank room i may addopt simmon garetts filtration idea by stacking the tanks above each other having one flow into another
i am looking into a skimmer made by trigger system ts1000
