new light help....

I just bought a new T5 light to replace my old PC lights. I love the colors, but all of my soft corals seem to have "shrunk" down, as if trying to get away from the light. Will they go back to normal after a few days? Yesterday was the first day I had the light, so I only left it on for 5 hours (as opposed to the usual 10). Should I just do 5 hrs again today? Thanks for any help,

If you're able to, raise the light fixture further from the water and over a period of a week or 2, lower it to it's ultimate location. Sounds like the corals are just having a hard time adjusting. This will allow them an acclimation period. Raising the fixture will lower the intensity.
