Heres the new peacock mantis i got from Tropical Paradise:

Is it a she? Also the mantis clicked quite loudly quite a few times last night. Is it getting settled in and punching pieces of its burrow into place, or is this going to happen every night?

That little tank you have him in, I have one of them.....how often do you do water changes and how do you keep the temperature up in the water??

The blue clear plastic tank was used only for transporting her back from the LFS and to take pictures. I don't think you can keep a large one in such a small tank. A smaller mantis could work, if you changed the water and had a room at a constant 75 or so. Besides, it cracked the tank already (2nd pic, crack at the rear edge, where the plastic slopes up) and if O left it overnight, the tank would be destroyed. I keep her in a 7 gallon minibow, the temperature around 77 with an ebo jager 100 watt heater. Filter is a penguin biowheel mini plus a powerhead. I change 2 gallons every week.
