What is the main difference from Pohnpei to cultured? Are they just wild caught? Is this a big deal when it comes to clam purchasing. Only reason I ask is because I saw some Pohnpei clams that looked beautiful but I don't know if there are any drawbacks. Thanks.
they are not wild caught they are just cultured in open waters, which allows them to contract disease, unlike the cultured maximas from the south pacific which are cultured in a closed system where they have more controll over the situation.
