Picked up these ric's and yumas yesterday thought I'd try to post some pics.

the yuma is acctually two and I got it for only 20 and the rics have 4 different polyps with a total 5 mouths, got them for 70. They seemed like good prices to me.

I got those at two different LFS in my area. One always has great prices on yumas and rics the other doesnt always have many of either but when they do they are often nice looking peices with good prices.

Thanks I finally figured out how to balance the lighting on my camera to where it looks natura.l

those are very nice rics....i have a question though how did you balance you camera with you lights off and only the actinics on.

b/c ive been trying the past fews night to get some shots of ym rics but i just cant get it to not blur...

i have a nikon coolpix 4100 its not too great but theres gotta be a way for it to come out. if you have any ideas let me know

a tripod?

sounds rediculous but if i use one i get the absolute most clear pics compared to just holding the darn thing. i suck at photos

Put your camera on a tripod and use the delayed picture/self portrait feature. Push button and take your hands completely off camera and tripod. Your heartbeat will cause blur at slow shutter speeds.

You can shoot pretty clear shots down to 1/8 sec.

on my camera there a little button that adjust the white balance, before when I would take a pic it would just be blue and shiny shiny white.

As far as the lighting is concerned those are with all lights running thats what it looks like although it's alot of blue.

2x 65 watt PC actinics 460nm & 420nm combo bulbs
1x 175 watt MH 20K

over a 55 gal
