new reactor

my Geo kalk reactor finally arrived. i have 2 questions, what is a good kalk media to use in the reactor. and what is the best way to get rid of micro bubbles in the sump. my tunze osmulator will not work until i get that problem solved.

Personally,
I would stay away from the canning variety stuff.
At WAMAS, we had a group order for stuff called Mississippi lime which is the hydrated kind and it works great.
Several ones for the hobby will be a better choice than the cheap stuff.

I am just about to fire up my new GEO as well. I have heard that Mrs. Wages pickling lime is as good as any hobby-grade kalk.
