New Seriatopora hystrix bad sign or not?

So I received a Seriatopora hystrix from liveaquaria this morning. I dripped it over 2 hours, re-mounted it to the plug (it had fallen off), and dipped it in bayer.

I placed it in a low light high flow area of my tank (I read that they come from inter-tidal flats so I guess this is appropriate). Around 3:00pm i noticed stringy stuff coming off some of the tips. Is this the start of necrosis or bailout? or just stress from being handled during gluing?

I moved it to a lower flow area thinking maybe I gave it too much and added some GAC.

As far as parameters temp is 81 sg is 1.025. I have to wait for people with color vision to get home before I can run chemical tests.
But I can say that on 4/17 my parameters were:
PO4: 0.08
temp: 81F
NO3: 1.5
Alk: 8.6
Mg: 1520
Ca: forgot to test :twitch:

Looks fine to me, maybe just a bit of acclimation to new conditions. First couple weeks in a new tank are always "hold your breath" time, but all you can do now is give it good water quality/lighting and hope it takes hold. Good luck!

It seems to really hate my LEDs. I had it at the verry bottom and it started to loose color so I directed all the lights away from it. Never had one this ornery before.

I think that is just from acclimation or irritation. My sps do that all the time if I move them around. I think they just produce more slime which gets shed off due to flow. None of mine have had problems after doing that.
