New skimmer!

Its a Nyos Quantum 220.

Seems to make some really nice bubbles. I like the pump thats on it and the bubble plate.

It doesn't seem to make any more/less noise than my old Super Reef Octopus 200 Elite Internal or whatever it was.

Hopefully this new one skims a bit better than my old setup.

Unit was boxed quite nicely, Assembly was pretty easy. It just required a flat head screw driver.

Anyway, Yay new toys!

One thing I noticed already is for a 220 gal skimmer (Heavy Bioload) the neck is a little short. Especially since the pump is located inside the unit itself.

I think Nyos was a little optimistic with their skimmer rating. but whatever it's already pulling stuff out of my tank 3? hours into running.
