New stocklist suggy..

Chef Reef

In Memoriam
Ok well since my tank crashed i have no fish.. except two. When it comes time to add livestock back to the tank afters its all better from its ouchies.. what kind of fish should i put in it? im tired of seeing the same old stuff in everyones tank so id like to make it a little different.. I'm always seeing this list or about the same list..

Fish:
Tangs.. yellow, brown, purple, scopas, hippo.. w/e..
2 clowns. (mostely false percs)
chromis
foxface
firefish
royal grammas

I didn't list wrasses becuase theres way to many and people usually have a different variety then someone else.

I'd like to stay away from this trend of fish but at the same time I know most of you have this list (or one like it) becuase they're reefsafe..

I'd like to find more of an extoic, maybe aggressive, list of fish to add. they need to be reef safe.. which i know will be hard but I'd like something different..

My current livestock is a ribbon eel and a zebra dart goby.
Im not really looking for an inver suggstion more along the lines of fish.

Heres the challange. I'd like to have some kind of shark or ray of some kind but not sure on all of the species and the tank size requirements. My tank will be a 75 Gal standard footprint. is this possible? i know they need a lot of "open" sand to move in and iv been reading up on them but im not sure on what else is compatible with them. iv seen most sharks require at least 125-150 gal tanks but was wondering if there are smaller species out there that could work. There wont be much corals in the tank a little GSP, Rics, zoas, and some xenia. thats about as far as im going on corals.. if neither the rays or sharks could be possible what else would you recomend? any suggestion would be helpfull in my Re-build of a tank.

This tank wont be setup for awhile i just like to have a plan of what im doing first..
Thanks in advanced :)

no offense, but before thinking about fish...i would be trying to figure out what wen't wrong and also figure out how to make it never happen again. obviously something's wrong. fix it. then worry about the fish!

Not being mean :P

im not to worried about this tank that much. its coming down very soon. Only thing im worried about is the livestock in it.. which is already being taken care of :) I really think it was the bioload the more I think about it but I'd like to be sure and just test my RO/DI unit. I'm fixing the bioload problem by upgrading to a 75 with a 30 gal sump. as stated as well in my above post. I'ts not happening for awhile :P I just like to plan ahead.

I agree. You should figure out what caused this crash and fix it before putting anything into the tank. Make sure they are fixed and the tank is in its best running condition.
