I'm gonna set a new tank after several years out of the hobby, but i can decide between going with a 96x24x24 or a 72x30x24, I want to keep total water volume under 350 including sump.
Depends on the fish you want to house, big Tangs you want the 96 L, no tangs. I would go with the 30 D. Agree with others that both are GREAT size choices.
Intended use I guess...FO, Fowler or Reef...types of fish. I would factor everything in. I have a 50 SCA, don’t plan on any fish much bigger than a clown. If I wanted tangs, bigger tank.
Id pick the 72 because it’s still a 6ft tank and you could have some certain tangs in it. I also like the 30” wide for aquascaping. That extra 6” in width would allow for some really unique scaping. Just my thoughts
