New tank

Hello everybody, im getting ready to set up a tank and want to put the sand in and let it settle before I put the LR in. What I was wondering is how long should I wait to put a power head in for circulation

I put mine in the next day, but I had my sump running from the get go and I think it helped clear things up faster. (I ran my drain into a filter sock in my sump)

You may want to put at least the rocks that will be on the bottom in before you put in your sand. This way critters digging in the sand wont cause your rock work to shift and possibly fall and kill any critters and or crack or break your tank glass. You want to be sure all your bottom rocks are stable against the glass bottom.
