I recently went over to an old friends house, while visiting I saw his 90 gallon salt water tank. I want to blow his tank out of the water with a tank of my own. I was wondering what goes into keeping a big tank, like 10,000 gallons. What kind of prices am I looking at for this tank?

um....i hope you're kidding about the 10,000. If not, you're looking at about 750,000 bucks. And if you just havent done your homework, then research and read. You won't get an answer to the question about what goes into keeping a big tank b/c there are trillions of answers. I suggest doing some research for about a month and then you will know like the rest of us how much goes into the things.

Assume about $30 - $40 per gallon but that may go down with volume. Personally I don't think I could afford to maintain a tank of that size much less outfit it!

ummmm.....where you gonna keep a 10KG tank?
unless you have a swimming pool, then I would convert that to a swimming reef.....
