New tank

I just set up a 45 gallon tank. The only things in it right now are sand, crushed coral, shells, a little coral, and live rock. I am starting to see some tiny little creatures on the live rock. ( Someone said they're copapods.) and I see a lot of little white things that look like they're starting to grow out of the live rock. I wonder if they might be feather dusters. After my water tests ok, I would like to have a couple of fish that are pretty but hardy, and other things like feather dusters, and some of the other weird creatures I see at the pet store. I don't know what they all are. Any suggestions as to what I should put in first? I want something hardy since this is all new to me.

You're a smart person. Here's a couple suggestions:
Firefish, goby, coral beauty, pseudochromis...

How about a Royal Gramma or a six line wrasse.

Blue Chromis, Firefish and Royal Gramma are all very hardy fish. I have 2 Blue Chromis and an orange Firefish. They are very easy fish to get started with. I feed mine flake food and they gobble it up.

not a fish but a pair of skunk cleaner shrimp. very fun to watch
