Doesn't look like you have much live rock do you have it in the sump? What do you do for bio filtration

Im usually not a big fan of displays without live rock and sand but this one looks pretty nice. Is that a blue carpet or a large sebae that i see in the middle center with the true percula ( i think) hosted in it?

I was going to ask about filtration set-up as well, especially how nitrate build up over the long term will be delt with. We all (Most) know water changes only do so much.

Thanks smalltime, karsseboom, Bigcefa, and ResponsiCulture.

Smalltime, the tank is 5'x4'x2' tall.

Bigcefa, I have a bout 200 pounds of rock in a 120g sum.

ResponsiCulture, that is a blue carpet anemone with a pair of Onyx clown hosted in it.

Not really a fan of the base build. However when you pull off such nice colloring who am i to judge that. For me it looks like (a really nice) LFS tank. But the corals are beautifull.

I love the dimensions and you have beautiful corals. Not a fan of how the tank looks though, there are so many options you have with a 5' by 4' tank. Why did you keep the display with little rock? I would also love to see the sump and filtration stuff if your willing to share.

Thanks Piper24, and Frick.

Piper24, lot of people are asking me why I don't do the rock-cape. The answer are:

1. I'm tire of trimming corals.
2. I don't have much time as I used to be, (less rock, easier/faster to clean).
3. I love BIG and COLOR corals, (especially Blue, Red, and neon Green).
4. I want the corals do the "scape" by themself, (this will take a few more years).

The filtration is very simple, 120g tank with about 200 pounds of rock. Reeflo Orca 250 skimmer, big calcium reactor, (I forgot the name). I change 30 gallons of water every 2 weeks.

^You are doing an amazing job with this system. Everything appears extremely healthy and happy! Quick question in regards to the rock in your sump: Do you use regular sized rocks, or do you use smaller rocks almost like rubble? thanks! I too would enjoy a quick pic of your sump if you didn't mind
