I have kept these 2 before and I had polyps out day and night. Recently got them as single branch frags again. it might have been adapted to the previous tank too well and not to mine. It is growing and only responds by having some short filaments at some coralites when there is food in the water. I have been looking at night, PE not much better.
no nipper fishes or pests that I know of. It does appear to be slowly growing over the glue.
The cali tort is looking "rough" and drab color, maybe experiencing mild bleaching. Maybe it is too much flow? I don't want to stress it anymore by moving in the wrong direction
The orchid has nice purple base and lavender tip, no brown color.
I have 30 other frags and they have PE. Is PE necessary an indicator for health.
Are the short filaments still feeding the coral? It maybe one of those mysteries but thought I would ask anyway. In my previous tank I bought them as ORA thru liveaquaria and they grew like a weed and I had more nutrients.
light dose of VSV and MB7
(sea chem salt)
CA 525
ALK 8
Mg ~1300
phosphate - don't know/don't have hanna
nitrate 2-3
