Noisy irritant

Hi Roger, I have noticed that the Comline series make a
humming noise. My Riverpack does this no matter how I try
to readjust the powerhead. This noise is worse when I use
the carbon granules cartridge. I just took delivery of a 9010.
And I noticed that it makes 2 sets of noise. One from the
effervesence and the humming from the hydrofoamer.
This humming does not come directly from the powerhead but
rather indirectly from the acoustics of the powerhead within
the confines of the Comline. Any ideas on dampening this?

The main thing is to make sure all the pieces are snuggly fitted and one thing you can do is to hold the pump in a sink with it running and slowly rotate the outlet nozzle as their are some places that are quieter than others. On the hydrofoamer the pump should be kind of sideways so the pump side hits the bottom. On the Riverpack I generally place the pump so the front narrow side of the pump faces forward. I have had this before and it comes and goes but when you get the pump situated just right and everything is firmly installed it will stop.
