Well my 6" O.S died last night. Very sad.... sigh... I don't know why he died... but I think it may have been due to elevated nitrate levels in his tank. I tested it on friday night and it had spiked to above 100m/gal. Ammonia and nitrite were both fine. I did a 50% water change immediatley and the nitrates came down. He looked fine. On sat i added about 2Ibs of cured live rock. He was all happy moving them around...etc. Then this morning I found him.... I tested the water again and found that the nitrates had again spiked... above 100ml/g.
Not a very good Sunday.
Anyways must move on. If anyone knows where I can get another O.S or maybe a Smithii please let me know.

PS... of all of my saltwater fish.... Norbert was the coolest... most intelligent... and the biggest crowd pleaser of them all. He will be missed.
