normal mantis feeding habbit?

I just got my peacock mantis (about 4" big) 6 days ago and since i have had him he has eaten 12 zebra hermits and 4 cerith snails. He ate the hermits within 2 or 3 days and when they were gone i went and got some freeze dryed krill and fed him that twice a day. He seems to be attacking every invert that i put in the tank with him but he wont attack any of the fish that are in there (3 damsels) he will even let the fish swim in his burrow with him. I was just wondering if this was normal?

sounds about right, mine never tried to eat any of his fishy roommates, only the hardshelled ones..

Anyone try a live steamer clam from the seafood dept. of the grocery store? For now I've been feeding mine Silversides 1/4 to 1/2 of a Silverside twice a day.
