I do not know who the culprit is , has to be eithe rm procupine puffer or triggerfish, thus far have no t had any problems and kjeep them well fed to prevent this behavior, is this a long term hazzard to my lionfish? and how can i stop this behavior from occuring in the future, and should i add some fin regeneration medicine the water in aiding is healing and too prevent infection? thanks:mad2:

Remove the lion or find out if it is the trigger or puffer and remove that fish. This is a very hard combo to keep and they must be watched, the only way to prevent this is by not keeping them together.

What kind of trigger?

The trigger & Puffer can pick & harass your lion to death, or the lion may sting one of them and that can also lead to the death of
your trigger or puffer.

I would say the puffer, they are notorious for "fin nipping". I have a niger trigger with my lion and the trigger is actually afraid of it. I think he got stung once, now he cant get out of the lions wway fast enough.
