Khemul New member Oct 16, 2013 #6 As long as you don't plan to keep any form of algae, they can be beneficial. They eat a lot (can cause nutrient issues) and don't live very long. Tank size and water temperature may be an issue, depending on which species it is. Last edited: Oct 16, 2013
